James Corden will voice Peter Rabbit for director Will Gluck, with Rose Byrne, Daisy Ridley, and Elizabeth Debicki also cast, in a new film from Sony/Columbia Pictures and Animal Logic, the Australian animation house behind The Lego Movie.
This news comes on the 150th anniversary of author Beatrix Potter, whose illustrated children’s books have delighted generations. The Tale of Peter Rabbit was first published in 1902.

As custodians of Beatrix Potter’s brand and legacy, we are excited about the opportunity this production will bring to engage a whole new audience with the world of Beatrix Potter and one of her best-loved characters, the mischievous Peter Rabbit.”
Will Gluck added, “I am delighted to be teaming up with Frederick Warne. Their expertise and stewardship is absolutely critical to making a film that honors the legacy of Beatrix Potter.”
Production kicks off in January, with a targeted release date of April, 2018.
