All Black star, Richie McCaw, will be in Sydney for Australian premiere of Chasing Great, following the rugby documentary’s hugely successful opening in New Zealand cinemas on August 30.
Chasing Great topped the New Zealand box office opening at number one spot ahead of Bad Moms and accruing an opening day gross of $89,186 off 97 screens.
McCaw will walk the red carpet and introduce the film at Event Cinemas George Street on Tuesday October 18th. The filmmakers, Michelle Walshe and Justin Pemberton, were granted exclusive access to McCaw in the year leading up to last year’s All Black victory at the last Rugby World Cup.
Following the premiere event, Chasing Great screens in cinemas on Wednesday October 19th, Saturday October 22nd and Sunday October 23rd. It will also be available to rent on Foxtel Main Event on Saturday October 22nd, following the third installment of the Bledisloe Cup.
