Trailer: Tenzing

After establishing herself as a gifted documentarian on the subject of nature’s concurrent beauty and horror, Aussie filmmaker Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa, Solo, River, Mountain Quest, Deeper) makes her feature directorial debut with Tenzing, which details the under-reported true story of Tenzing Norgay (Genden Phuntsok), the gifted Himalayan climber who, alongside famed New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary (Tom Hiddleston), became the first to summit Mount Everest. Set for a brief theatrical run on October 9 before premiering on Apple TV+ the following week, Tenzing is co-written by Peedom and Luke Davies (Candy) and also stars Willem Dafoe, Tinley Lhamo and Caitríona Balfe.
