The iconic film celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a return to cinemas for a limited time only as fans come together and celebrate Back to Hogwarts!
Twenty-five years ago, audiences around the world received their invitation to Hogwarts and discovered a magical world that would capture imaginations for generations. Now, the film that ignited a global phenomenon is returning to the big screen for a limited time only.
In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, fans are invited to return to Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in theatres once again, enhanced with 12 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage debuting on the big screen for the first time.
Originally released in 2001, the first Harry Potter film brought J.K.Rowling’s magical story to life on the big screen and quickly enchanted audiences worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year and launching one of the most beloved franchises in entertainment history.
More than two decades later, the magic continues to inspire fans old and new.
For a limited time, audiences in Victoria and Tasmania will have the opportunity to relive Harry’s first journey from Privet Drive to Platform 9¾, experience the wonder of Hogwarts, and celebrate the film that introduced the world to Harry, Ron and Hermione.
Between 20th August and 28th August, Harry Potter fans across Victoria and Tasmania are invited to celebrate 25 years of movie magic as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone returns to Village Cinemas alongside special fan experiences, exclusive screenings and Back to Hogwarts celebrations.
