In what looks like a fair-sized slab of cinematic apologia, The Social Network writer Aaron Sorkin might be making amends for that now slightly troublesome 2010 Oscar winner with his new writing/directing effort The Social Reckoning. This Oscars-clips-aplenty true life drama details how Frances Haugen (Anora Oscars breakthrough Mikey Madison), a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz (The Bear‘s nouveau Springsteen Jeremy Allen White), a Wall Street Journal reporter, in blowing the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets. Oh, and who plays Mark Zuckerberg? Is Jesse Eisenberg back as the ultimate OP? Well, no…it’s Jeremy Strong from Succession, continuing an incredible cinematic upswing after his bravura turns in The Apprentice and Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. Expect this regular MVP to figure heavily come award season…
