Have you been doing a little bit of witchful thinking recently? If so, you’ll be pleased to know that Amazon Prime has recently added a whole new host of horror movies to their movie catalogue, and we couldn’t be happier. From thrills to chills, the streaming service has it all. If you and your family need an injection of Halloween horror this October, Amazon Prime has all the best scary movies you need to add to your watchlist.

Orphan: First Kill

If you were put on the edge of your seat by the first Orphan that hit theatres back in 2009, you’ll want to ghost even more with Orphan: First Kill. Esther’s terrifying saga continues in this chilling prequel, where she travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Tricia, the mother of the missing daughter, will do anything to protect her family from Esther’s murderous tendencies, but will she succeed?

Nope

Oscar winner Director, Jordan Peele, first made headlines as a filmmaker with his debut movie, Get Out, in 2017. Now, he’s back with another epic twist in Nope. When random objects start falling from the sky resulting in the death of OJ and Emerald Haywood’s father, the siblings attempt to capture video evidence of a UFO with the help of a tech salesman and documentarian. If you want a different spin on horror this autumn that promises mystery after mystery, Nope should definitely be at the top of your list.

Jeepers Creepers: Reborn

Many of us grew up alongside the Jeepers Creepers trilogy, so of course, we’re going to watch this new addition too. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn follows the return of the urban myth, The Creeper, in this updated 2022 spin. The film unfolds as we see the Horror Hound festival hold its first-ever event in Louisiana, attracting numerous horror fans from across the globe. Among them are Chase and his girlfriend Laine, but when Laine starts to experience unexplained premonitions and disturbing visions associated with The Creeper and the town’s past, a blood-soaked frenzy quickly arises.

This is one to watch if you want a trip down memory lane with a bloody twist. Franchises like Jeepers Creepers and Halloween movies have transcended the scary movie genre and become a bonafide pop culture phenomenon. They go far beyond their original films, with video games, merchandise, and even online slot machines being made in their name! If you want to take that immersive experience one step further, you can even play live dealer games with a real-life casino dealer. These games are available worldwide, from the UK to Saudi Arabia to the US. The best casinos with live dealers online will also have generous welcome offers, such as a $2000 deposit bonus. Whether you want a fully immersive casino experience or to kick back with your favourite scary movie game, there’s a site that’s right for you.

Men

Men follows the story of a refugee, Harper, as she flees London and finds refuge in a secluded manor in the (what appears to be) idyllic English countryside. Haunted by memories of her past, Harper seeks redemption. However, when strange happenings start to occur in the local landscapes, a series of sinister events begin to unfold. The English countryside may appear as a place of solace, but now Harper has nowhere to hide as she fights against her mind, body, and soul in this inescapable nightmare.

Goodnight Mommy

If you like movies that are ambiguous and send a chill down your spine, Goodnight Mommy is one to add to your list. When twin brothers, Elias and Lucas, are dropped off by their father at their mother’s home in the isolated countryside, it appears that all is not what it seems. Not only has the twin’s mother secretly undergone surgical procedures on her face, which is now encased in bandages, but she also is not how the pair remember her. She is now a smoker, gets upset quickly and forbids them from going into the barn out the back, but the real question is, why? It isn’t long before the twins notice that their mother isn’t their mother at all, but an imposter.

Conclusion

If you fancy a fright this October, these blockbusters are sure to guarantee endless terrors minus the tears. Even better, they’re all available to watch on Prime right now. It’s time to turn the lights down low, light a candle or two and get prepared for your heart to race. Don’t hide in the shadows this Halloween – these Prime newbies will leave you hollow inside.
