Four deadly tales by four killer women – that’s the promise made by XX, the upcoming horror anthology that Monster Pictures is bringing to Australia by way of Magnet/Magnolia.
Annie Clark (St. Vincent) makes her directorial debut with The Birthday Party; Karyn Kusama (The Invitation, Girlfight, Jennifer’s Body) gives us Her Only Living Son; From Roxanne Benjamin (Southbound) comes Don’t Fall; and Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird) directs The Box. The whole shebang is wrapped in a framing sequence by award-winning animator Sofia Carrillo.
XX will make its debut at Sundance in the near future, with Monster promising details on the Australian release sooner rather than later.
