AACTA nominated film UNSOUND is a unique coming of age romantic drama about LGBTIQ+ pride and deaf culture starring Reece Noi (Games of Thrones), Paula Duncan, pop icon Christine Anu, Todd McKenney and introducing Yiana Pandelis. Since its premiere at Mardi Gras Film Festival, UNSOUND has been drawing attention from esteemed awards nationally including winning Best Australian Feature at Melbourne Queer Film Festival and Best Fiction Feature at the ATOM Awards.

Directed by Ian Watson (Doctor Doctor, Janet King), UNSOUND follows gigging guitarist Noah, who quits the band of ’90s pop icon Moniqua, returning to his mother’s home in Sydney. Noah soon finds himself swept up in the life of a young, emerging trans man, Finn, who is deaf, runs a community centre and nightclub in his local community with his father, leading to an inevitable but impossible love story.
