Hang on a second... Wasn't David Nicholls' book already adapted into a Lone Scherfig film in 2011 starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess? Here, the concept of catching up on a particular day with protagonists Emma (Ambika Mod) and Dex (Leo Woodall), who first met in 1988, and spanning 20 years, is taken to 14 episodes. Although not featured in the trailer, Australia's own Essie Davis features prominently.
