“After wrapping four years of work on Reaching Distance (a colourful, talky and sometimes sentimental feature), this was a much needed palate cleanser,” says Fairhurst. “We wanted to make the complete opposite, something efficient to a fault, almost dialogue-free and mean. Shooting guerilla-style on the streets of Sydney and being willing to embrace whatever chaos came our way. The audience reaction at every screening has been fantastic, so we can’t wait to see how it plays online.”
