Supporting early to mid-career Australian producers to attend Content London 2025

WIFT Australia is proud to announce the launch of the Content London Catalyst Program 2025, a new professional development initiative supporting female and gender diverse screen practitioners to expand their international networks and market experience through attendance at Content London, one of the world’s leading global TV and film markets.

Open exclusively to current or renewing WIFT Australia members, the program will provide up to four early-to-mid career producers with free travel, tailored mentorship and market preparation, helping them strategically position their projects, meetings, and pitches ahead of the December event.

The delegation departs 29 November 2025 for Content London (1 – 4 December 2025), where participants will receive daily on-the-ground consultations and debriefs to maximise their international engagement and outcomes.

Participants will gain direct insights from internationally respected industry consultant Julia Short, who will provide successful participants with one-on-one project support and mentorship, including individual strategy sessions, pitch feedback, and predeparture planning.

With over 25 years’ experience across production, distribution, marketing, and training, Julia Short is a highly respected figure in both UK and international film circles.

Julia has served as Director of Content for the Inside Pictures programme, Course Director for the Danish Film School’s Empowering Directors for the Global Stage programme and for Screen Scotland’s two-year producer initiative Film Fast Track, and delivered training for the UK Film Distributors’ Association. As a consultant, she works closely with producers from early development through to international release, most recently on Imran Perretta’s ISH, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2025.

The delegation will be led by WIFT Australia Chair, Leanne Tonkes, an award-winning Australian producer and founder of Sense & Centsability. With more than two decades of experience across international markets including Cannes, Content London and MIPCOM, Leanne brings deep expertise in financing, distribution, and market strategy.

“This initiative is about providing access and visibility for emerging Australian producers particularly women and gender-diverse creatives in one of the world’s most important content markets,” said WIFT Australia Chair, Leanne Tonkes. “It’s designed to build long-term international connections and confidence in navigating the global marketplace.”

Applications close 5pmAEST 3 November 2025, with final delegates announced on 7 November. A webinar outlining program details, benefits, and the application process will be held next week.
