Viewing and voting has officially opened for the 2025 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group. AACTA Members are invited to watch all of this year’s Short Film entries on AACTA TV and cast their round one votes to determine the nominees. This marks the start of voting for the Australian Awards with remaining award categories opening in the coming months.
Viewing and voting is open to all AACTA Members, who are invited to enjoy the diverse range of content in contention for the 2025 Awards. With close to 100 entries available to view on AACTA TV, members are encouraged to cast their votes to determine the best short form productions of the year. This Award recognises some of the most innovative and creative voices currently working in the industry and the unique craft of short-form storytelling.
“The 2025 AACTA Awards officially starts with viewing and voting in the Short Film category. Encompassing around 100 of Australia’s finest live action and animated short films, I’d recommend all AACTA members take the time to consider them. It’s where the next generation is born, and where the most adventurous chances are taken. The voting form will be made available soon, but do start watching now. And if you are not yet an AACTA member, get involved “, says AACTA Awards and Industry Development Manager, Ivan Vukusic.
Voting in the Short Film category will close at 5pm AEST Monday 19 August 2024 and will determine the nominees for the 2025 AACTA Awards, with the winner to be determined in Round 2 voting. The voting form will be made available in the coming weeks.
Further details for the 2025 AACTA Award ceremonies, AACTA Festival, and Round 2 voting will be announced in the coming months.
