2022 marks the ninth annual Understory Film Festival Screening and Awards Night, an evening dedicated to recognising the extraordinary expertise, energy and commitment of student, emerging and professional filmmakers.
Experience short film masterpieces across a vast selection of genres, including comedies, documentaries, music videos, animations, experimental and more. Shortlisted entries will be screened, and the winners announced, with the final category, the People’s Choice Award, to be determined by the audience on the night.
Held at Munro Martin Parklands, take the chance to enjoy a curated selection of magnificent short films produced right here, under the tropical night sky.
Bring a picnic, a low-set chair or a rug and take advantage of the onsite food vendors and licensed bar.
From 2.30pm-4.30pm, a free Filmmakers Symposium will be held at the Tanks Arts Centre – Tank 5. Participants are encouraged to engage in open discussions with industry leaders.
