What is TAKE48?
TAKE48 is a 48-hour filmmaking challenge run in conjunction with the Sydney Underground Film Festival. It presents a fun way to test your filmmaking abilities whilst working alongside your friends to battle against the clock over an intense and exciting 48 hours.
How does it work?
The challenge sees participants script, shoot and edit their films all within a 48-hour window. Prior to the start of the challenge, a theme is announced. All films must include the theme in order to qualify for screening and prizes. With only 48 hours to write, shoot and edit, participants are challenged to change the way they think about filmmaking.
Participants can work solo, or in teams up to 10.
Prizes
There are several prize packages up for grabs for the winners of TAKE48. These are allocated to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as an Audience favourite award. For more info on this years’ prizes head to www.take48.com.au/2022
Screening
Not only will your film have a shot at winning some amazing prizes, but you also have the chance to see your film screened as a part of the Sydney Underground Film Festival festivities in September! The date has just been confirmed for Friday 16th September Dendy Newtown. All films are watched by the TAKE48 and SUFF team, and then selected and curated to screen
