After being blamed for the death of his best friend in a racist street fight, Tez (Rahel Romahn), a 25-year-old drug dealer with cultural identity issues, loses custody of his son that he’s never met. Battling a drug addiction and coming to terms with losing his best friend, he will need to find a way to battle his inner demons and reclaim his life before he loses his son forever.

Streets of Colour stars Rahel Romahn, who recently appeared opposite Michael Sheen in the acclaimed revival of Amadeus at the Sydney Opera House. He will also be seen in David Michod’s forthcoming feature Wizards! with Pete Davidson and Orlando Bloom. Romahn delivers a commanding performance in Streets of Colour, alongside an ensemble cast of talented Australian actors. Set in the suburbs of Western Sydney, the film explores the complexities of race, self-identity and spirituality.

Screen Inc’s Dov Kornits comments “The filmmaking team have worked incredibly hard to bring this powerful film together. Streets of Colour is a story that stays with you and I’m looking forward to bringing it to audiences this year.”

Riskalla. “This film is a testament to the resilience and creativity of the communities that inspired it, and we are proud to be able to share their stories with a wider audience.”

Streets of Colour was produced by SkyCross Entertainment in Association with Frankendipity Enterprises and Rishi Raj Films, with executive producers Dr Raj Patankar, Drew Pearson and Nenif David.

Streets of Colour will be released in Australia in 2023, with distribution and sales in other territories to follow.
