Principal photography has wrapped on Enzo Tedeschi’s multiverse time travel film RESONANCE.
Starring Barbara Bingham (Friday the 13th Part 8) and filmed in Sydney in Australia RESONANCE explores what happens when an archaeologist discovers her family’s century-old secret to manipulate time, and how she must confront her estranged past and an interdimensional threat to save her daughter’s future and the fabric of reality itself.
Using cutting edge digital de-ageing technology, Bingham will play opposite herself in the film – 30 years younger.
The supporting cast includes Simon Watts (The Outsider, The Unlisted), Lauren Grimson (Beast of War, The Possessed), Paul Michael Ayre (Event Zero, Scare Package II), Rosie Lourde (Total Control, Starting From… Now) and rounded out by newcomers Andrea Tan and Aleisha Benfield-Smith.
Notably, Nicholas Hope (Event Zero, Bad Boy Bubby) is the voice of Marcus, the smart-home assistant.
Enzo Tedeschi (The Tunnel, Deadhouse Dark) is producing for Deadhouse Films with Helen Tuck (Scare Package II) for Moonlight Fox Productions.
With Tedeschi directing his script, RESONANCE promises to be a groundbreaking addition to the sci-fi genre, blending cutting-edge visual effects with a deeply human story of family, time, and the consequences of our choices. With its innovative use of de-aging technology, stellar cast led by Barbara Bingham, and Enzo Tedeschi’s visionary direction, the film is poised to captivate audiences with its time-bending narrative and stunning visuals. As post-production begins, anticipation builds for this unique exploration of time travel and interdimensional threats.
RESONANCE is expected to make waves in the international film festival circuit.
Rising to the challenge of playing two roles in the film, Bingham said, “Stepping into the dual roles of Dr. Clara Hartley and her great-grandmother, Amelia Hartley, in RESONANCE was a surreal and thrilling experience. Exploring the contrasts and connections between these two women across generations allowed me to reflect on how the past shapes the future. Working with Enzo and the entire crew was truly special, and watching the visual effects rewind my face 30 years is mind-blowing.”
Producing her first full feature film, Helen Tuck said, “Enzo started this journey with a vision to create a sci-fi that blended both a compelling narrative with the kind of cutting-edge visual effects typically reserved for major studio productions. While we’re not a studio, we’re nothing if not ambitious, and it’s a testament to our amazing team that we’ve created a film that is visually beautiful while still drawing you into the story. It’s been an incredible journey to bring RESONANCE to life, and I couldn’t be prouder of the entire cast and crew.”
Enzo Tedeschi said, “The cutting-edge machine learning technology we are leveraging in visual effects to de-age Barbara – and beyond – is adding so much to the film and has enabled us to move very fast in production. I’ve always loved playing with new toys, but that’s no use without a fabulous cast to really sell the characters and story. Working with Barbara is just pure joy on every level, and getting to tell this kind of story that is very different to anything I’ve done before has just made this a very special experience. I can’t wait to share this with people – I think it is going to amaze!”
