One network built around independent creators
OzInDi’s next chapter is designed around a simple idea: Australian creatives should have a dedicated platform where their work can be seen, heard and discovered without paying for exposure. By combining radio and video streaming, the Entertainment Network can introduce an artist through a song, interview or live performance, while giving filmmakers and producers a home for longer-form work.
The platform will remain free for artists and focus on discovery, creating opportunities at every stage – from musicians releasing a first single to filmmakers seeking an audience for a short film, documentary or original series.
MUSICIANS
Radio airplay, music videos, interviews, performances and original artist-focused programming.
FILMMAKERS
A dedicated home for Australian short films, documentaries and independently produced series.
CREATIVES
Cross-platform discovery and national visibility for emerging voices outside traditional media.
Representing Cairns on a national stage
Founded in Cairns by Barry Koch and Joel Devereux, friends in Far North Queensland since the mid-1990s, OzInDi has grown from independent radio into an Australian entertainment network. Its national launch will represent the region while supporting talent from across the country.
First original series: No Soundcheck
Launching with the network on 7 August is OzInDi Presents: No Soundcheck, the first OzInDi-produced documentary series. Featuring Cairns musician Amber McIntosh, it explores the creative pressure, financial uncertainty, persistence and personal sacrifice involved in building a professional music career. Produced in Far North Queensland and featuring local creatives including Amber McIntosh and Barry ‘Baz’ Koch, the series reflects OzInDi’s commitment to telling authentic Australian stories beyond the traditional metropolitan media centres.
Available across mobile and television
OzInDi Radio is currently available on iOS, and the OzInDi Entertainment Network is now live on Apple TV. Android phone and Google TV apps will launch on 7 August, expanding OzInDi across phones, televisions and connected
A growing home for Australian entertainment
Following launch, the not-for-profit network will continue adding original productions, artist showcases, interviews, documentaries, live performances, music videos and independently produced Australian content, while developing partnerships with creative communities around the country.
