Kicking off at the Short Straw Cafe in Hawthorn on Saturday August 31st, Melbourne will be host to its first-ever 24-Hour Film Challenge. You’ll pick your genre from a hat and receive a 1 page script as your 24 hours start at 10am on the dot. The submission deadline is set for 10am, Sunday, September 1st.
The 24-Hour Film Challenge offers Melbourne filmmakers the opportunity to partake in an exciting collaborative challenge, with the opportunity to showcase their creativity in front of an industry judging panel. Thanks to our sponsors at Factory Sound, Michaels Camera Hire and Camera House Croydon, there are a number of exciting prizes up for grabs, including a $500 cash prize for ‘Best Film’.
Films created during the challenge will be screened to the public at The Lido Cinema, Hawthorn commencing at 6:30pm on Sunday September 1st.
