Leading Australian producers of television and film, Goalpost Pictures, have announced that founding partners Rosemary Blight and Kylie du Fresne will assume joint CEO roles.

“We have a unique and valued creative partnership formed from working together across many successful projects.  It feels like a natural step for us to take on the roles of joint CEOs as we deepen our relationships with partners both in Australia and internationally and guide the company during a time of accelerated growth, scale and ambition” they said.

Blight and du Fresne are amongst Australia’s most prolific and acclaimed screen producers of both feature films and television, with credits including the international hit series Black Snow and Cleverman, and the feature films The Invisible Man, Carmen, The Sapphires and Top End Wedding.

Black Snow 2, starring Travis Fimmel, will premiere on Stan in Australia on New Year’s Day and will return to U.S. audiences via AMC Networks’ popular streamer, Sundance Now, and BBC in the UK, in 2025. The Top End Bub spin off series, starring Miranda Tapsell and Gwilym Lee, will premiere on Prime Video in Australia and New Zealand in 2025 and is being launched for worldwide sales at the upcoming Content London by ZDF Studios.

Founding partners Ben Grant and Cass O’Connor remain with the company, Grant continuing his Executive Producer role and O’Connor in her non-executive Chair and strategic advisor roles.

Blight and du Fresne have also announced today that Production Executive Milly Olrog has been promoted to the role of Producer. Milly was recently co-producer on Black Snow 2. Milly joined the company five years ago and in her previous role as a production executive has worked across the company’s film and TV slate, as well as independently producing critically acclaimed short films.

“Milly has proven herself to be a creative, brave and hugely capable and we are thrilled to give her the opportunity to step up into a producer role with the company.  We have a busy slate for the foreseeable future and we are excited to see Milly’s contributions,” Blight and du Fresne said.

Also upcoming for Goalpost Pictures is the drama series Cooper which will be a ‘Hot Property ‘at next week’s Content London. Based on the award-winning crime novels by Malla Nunn set in 1950s South Africa, Cooper will be presented Kylie du Fresne, producer and co-CEO of Goalpost Pictures; Nimrod Geva, producer and head of development at Quizzical Pictures; and Ava Knight, Fifth Season’s director of  acquisitions .
