Homeward, the gritty new feature film written by Blair Moore and Dru Brown, and directed by Moore, heads into post-production in Queensland.

Homeward is set to take the audience on a fast-paced thrill ride, filled with many twists and turns, doubling down on gritty action, and adding a motley crew of characters.

Following the success of Moore’s debut feature, Kane, which was picked up at Cannes and distributed in the US through Saban Entertainment, as well as picking up Australian distribution with Umbrella.

Kane won numerous awards internationally, and Homeward promises to make its mark as well as a home-grown action thriller.

Homeward follows Dave Shepard, played by Jake Ryan, fighting for his family and his life after a botched robbery involving a Russian mob.

Dave unwittingly ends up with the robber’s bounty, which leads to a deadly confrontation. Dave just wants to get home to his wife (Hanna Levien) and the family farm, but is in a hot pursuit by Morgan (Nathan Phillips) and Mitch (Steve Mouzakis), who are desperate to reclaim stolen loot.

As the relentless chase unfolds, Dave must navigate a treacherous landscape filled with double-crosses and hidden agendas. He faces not only Morgan and Mitch, but also the formidable Russian assassin Nikolai (Jason McDonald), and veteran detective Hargraves (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) and a rookie detective Marshall (Aaron Glenane).

They are all drawn into the chaotic race for a bag of cash.

Homeward is not just a thriller; it is a gritty exploration of betrayal, revenge, and the primal instinct to survive.

Moore’s directorial panache for high-octane action and practical effects, meant a close collaboration with his stunt team from Gorilla Entertainment, headed by Steve Morris, John Walton, and Leon Stripp, making all the action sequences possible.

Moore’s commitment to pushing the limits of production quality shines through in every pulse-pounding sequence.

“This film is a testament to the lengths one will go to protect their loved ones,” says director Blair Moore. “With non-stop action and a compelling narrative, we aim to keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very last moment.”

Produced by a Queensland based production team including Brett Kennedy (Flying Billy Kart Entertainment), Dru Brown (Brown Python Pictures), Steve Morris (Gorilla Entertainment), and Anna Kolenko.

Homeward is poised to make waves in the action thriller landscape.
