New independent distribution company prioritises transparency, efficiency and results for premium factual producers.
Industry veterans Roger Vanderspikken and Jimmy Elkington have launched Season Three Media, a boutique global distribution company specialising in premium factual and lifestyle programming. Built on more than two decades of partnership across Worldwide Entertainment and Fred Media (WTFN Group), the new venture offers independent producers a clear alternative focused on transparent collaboration, efficient processes and real delivery.
Joining the founding duo is Josh Chiodo, also formerly of Fred Media, who serves as Content Operations Manager, bringing hands-on expertise across technical operations, content delivery and production support.
Season Three launches with 170 hours of content across 26 seasons and formats. The company is already actively engaged with Australian and New Zealand-based producers as it ramps up global market expansion.
“We understand the entire ecosystem from development and funding through to production, sales, operations and reinvigorating content years later for new markets. Being nimble, we can engage with producers and clients at all levels and stages of production, which is more vital than ever in the current market,” said Vanderspikken.
“We are here to champion independent, innovative producers and extend their formats and content to the widest markets and audiences possible,” added Jimmy Elkington, Co-Founder and MD, Global Content. “Season Three is our third chapter together. We’re intentional about being transparent, efficient and, most importantly, building strong, authentic relationships.”
Season Three’s original and eclectic slate captures emerging and established producers across premium factual and lifestyle programming.
Early highlights include Format and Series 1-3 of Budget Battlers with Jess Eva — a bigger, bolder and more heartfelt new season of the community home renovation series, from Maker Media; 6×60′ Curating Taste, hosted and co-produced by world-renowned chef Shannon Bennett with Blue Tribe Media; 5×60′ Precious Metal: A Love Story from Side B Films and Dead Heart Films, hosted by Eurovision contestant, The Voyager frontman and car obsessive Danny Estrin; Format and Series 1-4 of The Yes Experiment, a thought-provoking parenting series from 1440 Productions; 4×60′ Extreme Minds, an inspiring series examining how extreme sports build mental health and resilience, from Film Quarter; and LifeBoat, a unique feature documentary on escaping war-torn Vietnam and the ongoing dangers of authoritarian influence and state control, from Young Guns.
Season Three also offers strategic support beyond pure distribution, including funding guidance, format development, pitching assistance and brand integration.
Headquartered in Melbourne, Season Three Media welcomes conversations with independent producers, and with broadcasters and platforms seeking premium factual and lifestyle content.
