Surgery is the new sex
In a not-so-distant future, humankind is learning to adapt to its synthetic surroundings and, as humans alter their biological makeup – some naturally, some surgically.
This dystopian fantasy is a classic “late film” directed by David Cronenber. The subject of Crimes of the Future, starring Viggo Mortensen, is the effort to make art amid a despoiled cultural environment and debased cultural consumption.
