The super hero/police procedural series Powers is finally coming to Australia, hitting the PlayStation Network, well, right now. All of season one and the first three episodes of season two dropped today, with new episodes hitting the service every week.
Based on the comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, Powers stars Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Detective Christian Walker and Susan Heyward (Vinyl) as Detective Deena Pilgrim, two cops tasked with policing the superhero community. It’s a cynical noir set in a world where tights and capes conceal dark desires and hidden agendas. Season two sees a number of familiar faces joining the show, including Michael Madsen (The Hateful Eight), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars) and Wil Wheaton (The Big Bang Theory), alongside returning favourites Olesya Rulin (High School Musical), Justice Leak (Supergirl), Logan Browning (Hit The Floor), and Michelle Forbes (Orphan Black).
