Observance is the next film to be showcased in Revelation Film Festival’s Australian Revelation series.

Presented with Cinema Australia, Australian Revelations’ remit is to exhibit great Australian films, both classic and new, on the big screen and to promote Australian film in general. Often accompanied by Q&As, panel discussions and more, their program thus far has encompassed everything from The Babadook to Dogs In Space, Wake In Fright To Broke.

The May screening is Observance, by Joseph Sims-Dennett, a supernatural riff on Rear Window that sees a private eye (Lindsay Farris) start to encounter inexplicable events after he is tasked with surveilling a mysterious woman from an abandoned apartment. Aussie genre regulars John Jarratt and roger Ward support, as do Brendan Cowell, Tom O’Sullivan and Benedict Hardie.

Observance makes its WA debut at The Backlot Perth on Monday, May 30, from 6.30pm. tickets are available here.
