Here now is your first look at the provocatively named F*!#ing Adelaide, which is making its world premiere next month at the Adelaide Film Festival, proving that, if nothing else, Adelaide cultural institutions can take a good-natured jab from time to time.
Sophie Hyde’s TV show follows failed singer Eli (Brendan Maclean), who retreats from a less-than-stellar sojourn in Sydney at the request of his mother, Maude (Pamela Rabe), only to find out she’s going to sell the family home. This clip is, of course, when Eli and his sisters, Kitty (Tilda Cobham-Hervey) and Emma (Kate Box), get the bad news. Drama ensues, because families are like that.
