Shot over seven days in the Brisbane suburbs of Graceville and Chelmer, Fboi Pete stars Ryan Johnson and Kym Jackson, with Charlotte Carr, Gideon Mzembe, Dave Eastgate, Leonard Meenach and Hannah Levien in support.

Written by Stephen Vagg and directed by Louise Alston, who currently have indie All My Friends are Back in Brisbane playing in cinemas, Fboi Pete is about a self-proclaimed fuckboi (Ryan Johnson, who played the comic relief supporting role in the OG All My Friends are Leaving Brisbane (2007)), who vows to win back an ex-girlfriend (Kym Jackson, who plays a key supporting role in All My Friends are Back in Brisbane), discovering that she has become a born-again Christian. Dark comedic hijinks ensue.
“This has been an incredibly rewarding shoot,” says Alston, “We were fortunate to work with a fantastic cast and crew who embraced the film’s unique tone and brought so much energy and creativity to every day of production. We can’t wait to share Fboi Pete with audiences.”
Fboi Pete is produced by Alston, Vagg and Willem Whitfield, with cinematography by Chase Brockett, sound by Tfer Newsome, associate produced by Jennifer Holt and executive produced by Ryan Johnson and Kym Jackson.
