Australian actor Jason Clarke, best known for his work in Zero Dark Thirty and Terminator: Genisys, has joined the cast of Winchester, the upcoming supernatural thriller from the brothers Spierig (Daybreakers).
Winchester tells the story of Sarah Winchester (Helen Mirren), heiress to the Winchester Arms Company, who believes she is haunted by all the victims of her family’s rifles. Clarke will play Eric Price, a psychiatrist sent to evaluate her state of mind who, as these things almost invariably go, discovers that she may not be crazy after all.
“Jason Clarke is an extremely talented actor and we look forward to seeing him face off against Dame Helen Mirren as well as any vengeful spirits that might be lurking about the Winchester house,” commented the Spierigs.
