Yes, yes, the Oscars and the Golden Globes are all well and good, but if you’re an action fan you know the real juice is the Taurus World Stunt Awards, which doles out accolades to people who quite literally risk their lives to make the movies we love.

In a turn of events as gladdening as it is unsurprising, Mad Max: Fury Road did very well at this year’s awards. The 150-strong stunt team, led by Action Unit Director and Stunt Coordinator Guy Norris, won Best Stunt Rigging and Best Specialty Stunt, while Norris himself took home Best Second Unit Direction/Stunt Coordination.

An industry veteran, Norris’ first film was Mad Max 2 back in 1981. He and his team are currently on location in New Zealand for the live-action anime/manga adaptation, Ghost in the Shell.
