“Just when you think the zombie genre has been squeezed dry, along comes a perfectly amazing film by Dominique Rocher called THE NIGHT EATS THE WORLD. It will blow your mind.” Stephen King

“…the Most Innovative Zombie Movie since Shaun of the Dead.” IndieWire

Following its season as part of the Alliance Francaise French Film Festival, Arcadia and FilmInk Presents will bring Dominique Rocher’s The Night Eats the World to cinemas on May 9, 2019.

Sam (Anders Danielsen Lie – Personal Shopper) wakes one morning to find himself living in a nightmare: an army of zombies has invaded the streets of Paris and he is the lone survivor. While contemplating his bleak future and how he will survive the solitude, he learns he may not be alone after all. Also starring Golshifteh Farahani (Paterson), and the iconic French actor Denis Lavant (Holy Motors) as “one of the greatest zombie creations since the brainless consumers of George Romero’s “Dawn of the Dead,” Lavant’s role helps complicate the movie’s soul,” according to IndieWire.

Shot concurrently in French and English, the French language version was embraced during its French Film Festival run in April, and now the English version, following its success in the US, will be on limited release in quality Australian cinemas from May 9.
