Premiering at last year’s Melbourne International Film Festival, first time feature writer/director Neil Triffett’s charming spoof of all things high school, musical and of course, EMO [as the press kit notes: e-mo [i mõ] An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality], will finally find a general release in cinemas.

The impressive ensemble cast features Benson Jack Anthony (800 Words), Jordan Hare (The Secret Daughter), Rahart Adams (Nowhere Boys), Jon Prasida (Tomorrow, When the War Began), along with Bridie Carter and Adam Zwar.

EMO The Musical is in cinemas May 4, 2017.
