Yes, Iron Fist was loved by almost no-one, but we’re still excited about The Defenders, which brings together the heroes of Marvel’s four Netflix series – Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and bitter dissa- I mean Iron Fist (Finn Jones) to take on Sigourney Weaver’s mysterious villain (who is probably connected to The Hand, so maybe not so mysterious after all).
But hey, at least Iron Fist gets a violent meet-cute with Luke Cage, which is a nice nod to comics canon. Other things to take away: Stick (Scott Glenn) is back! And it looks like Elektra (Elodie Yung) is putting in an appearance. So is Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple, but that’s about as surprising as sunrise at this stage of the game. Also in the mix: Simone Massick’s Misty Knight. According to the usual sources, Jessica Fenwick’s Colleen Wing is showing up too. Hopefully she gets some screen time with Misty – The Daughters of the Dragon are badass.
