Box Office Report: June 15 – 18, 2023

Well, them's some very disappointing box office figures. Not only did The Flash make about half of what Spider-Verse made in its second week of release (last weekend), but Elemental has underperformed in a massive way, as has Fast X and The Little Mermaid, compared to similar films such as previous Fast instalments and Disney live action remakes respectively. Looks like releasing blockbusters every week, let alone two in one week, doesn't make sense in the current climate. Or maybe quality actually counts - take a bow Guardians 3.
