Box Office Report: 6 – 9 June 2024

As Furiosa's disappointing box office dominates headlines, you can always rely on a leave-your-brain-at-the-door franchise such as Bay Boys (sic) to bring the punters in, even with Martin Lawrence's faded star and Will Smith's tarnished reputation. No critics screenings and very little promo didn't hurt Shyamalan Junior's debut The Watchers from opening wide and scraping together a $2k screen average. Lastly, check out the total box office for The Three Muskateers: Milady (and The Taste of Things) which reflects today's audience behaviour and the reliance on film festival play (in this case the French) to bolster the performance of traditionally high-end arthouse fare.
