We have finally cracked it, the recipe for success for an Australian film in cinemas is to make the subject as obscure and narrow-targeted as possible a la documentaries about porridge making competitions overseas, a cafe in Melbourne and female Italian migrants! That way we aren’t competing with the multi-million dollar takings of Hollywood films, yippee!
Apart from that – James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash dominated cinemas this weekend, and Wicked: For Good looks like it won’t earn as much as the first film!
