She delivered a crackling breakout performance in the Australian zombie film Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, and now Bianca Bradey has been cast in the Finnish superhero movie, Rendel, for the final two weeks of shooting.
The actress was recruited after Rendel’s director Jesse Haaja saw Bradey in Wyrmwood. “I immediately phoned our producer Miika J. Norvanto and told him that there’s only one option for the role of Stacy. And that is Bianca.”
The film is based on a comic character created by Haaja, and Rendel centres around the emponymous masked vigilante who fights against a notorious criminal organisation.
“I love working on projects that I find challenging and inspirational; films that are outside the box and strongly character driven,” Bradey says of the announcement. “Rendel embodies all of these aspects, it’s dark and moody, with an amazing cast, and such a fresh take on the genre!”
Rendel is in its final weeks of production and Haaja hopes to have the film completed by the end of the year.
