Some of them have gone down in history as among the most popular in history. One or more of these may likely be on your watch list or even your all-time favourites. So, let’s check out a few of the best movies set in impressive venues.

Ocean’s Eleven (2001)

Based on the original 1960 movie, the 2001 version features one of the greatest casts ever assembled in movie history including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts (and Scott Caan and Casey Affleck, pictured). With plenty of twists and turns, the script is tight, and the dialogue is fast-paced. The sequels that it spawned didn’t have the same appeal as the original, but there’s no doubt that this version still holds up today as one of the all-time great casino movies.

Casino (1995)

It says it all in the title, and while Casino may not be the greatest Scorsese movie of all time, it still contains plenty of killer scenes and fantastic performances from Joe Pesci, Robert De Niro, and Sharon Stone. If you have been going through a bit of Scorsese movie binge, this is certainly one to add to the list as it reveals some of the darker sides of the heyday of Las Vegas and the mob rule that was involved in it.

Molly’s Game (2017)

Exposing a network of A-listers who played in a vast underground poker ring, Molly’s Game is based on a fascinating true story, and it is told wonderfully. With a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin, you would expect no less. Watching this type of movie certainly gives you plenty of encouragement to play casino games online for real money if you would like. Even if you’re not a gambler yourself, Molly’s Game is a fantastic yarn.

21 (2008)

While it may not have achieved the same type of cult status as some of the movies already listed above, 21 still holds up as a highly entertaining movie. Essentially, it is all about people who try to beat the house by learning how to count cards and the intricacies of what it takes to bring down the house from the inside.

The Hangover (2009)

Quite different from the casino movies that have already been discussed, the thrills and misadventures of the Wolf Pack in the original Hangover movie features some of the all-time great Casino scenes. Who could forget the tiger in the bathroom or Mike Tyson’s iconic cameo role?

While there are many other movies that could easily have been featured on the list, there is no doubt that this shortlist features a host of iconic pictures for a range of reasons. Whether you have never seen one or more of them or you would like to add a couple more to your watchlist, they all have their iconic moments that you would expect from a setting that is so thrilling and has the potential for both dramatic and comedic storylines, as well as fantastic character development.
