Anton Yelchin’s publicist has confirmed that the young actor has died following a freak motor vehicle accident at his LA home.
A prodigiously talented performer, Yelchin made his screen debut at the age of nine in the indie film, A Man is Mostly Water. On television he is best known for his roles in the Steven Spielberg-produced sci-fi series, Taken, and the comedy-drama, Huff, while on the big screen he showed impressive range, dividing his efforts between mainstream popcorners like Terminator: Salvation and Fright Night, and intriguing indie fare such as Five to Seven, Only Lovers Left Alive, and the recently released Green Room. He will next be seen in the upcoming Star Trek Beyond, and reportedly appears in three more already completed films that have yet to see release.
Our deepest sympathies to his friends and family.
