From December to January, children aged 2 – 14 can experience a global bestselling book series come to life on stage in DOG MAN: The Musical, the much-loved Meeting Mozart with world-renowned pianist Simon Tedeschi, and be part of the Australian premiere of the London International Animation Festival.
DOG MAN: The Musical (3 – 13 January) bolts into the Playhouse for a huge show filled with songs, laughs and beloved characters. With the head of a dog and the body of a policeman who fights crime (and chews on the furniture), Dog Man is an epic musical adventure featuring the hilarity and heart of Dav Pilkey’s bestselling book.
For budding music lovers, world-renowned pianist Simon Tedeschi – alongside a live string quintet – will introduce children from as young as three to the world of classical music in Meeting Mozart (13 – 22 December). A delightful, participatory and inclusive event featuring classics like ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’ and more.
Direct from London, audiences 2 – 14 years are invited to the Australian premiere of the London International Animation Festival (19 – 21 January). Across three days, the Playhouse will be transformed into a cinema, screening an incredible variety of independent kids animations from across the globe – complete with a candy bar serving up snacks for the ultimate movie-going experience.
