Box Office Report: February 23 – 26, 2023
Cocaine Bear opened relatively strongly for a film that is not going to appeal to all four quadrants, whilst Fisherman's Friends 2 confirmed just how hard it is to get the older crowd into the cinema these days. That said, Missing opened very softly, so, what are the kids watching apart from TikTok?! Cocaine Bear perhaps. Other new releases this week included the buzzed-about Aftersun, which did well considering its almost experimental nature, whilst the Oscar contenders are still in the top 20, despite lacklustre screen averages, which they are all hoping will uptick once the winners are announced mid-March.
