The different choices of gambling movies
There are a lot of great gambling movies to choose between. Here follows a description of three of them if you need inspiration for your movie and gambling night.
Casino Royale
Of course, we need a Bond movie thrown in the mix. Casino Royale from 2006 is one of the notorious 007 movies starring Daniel Craig as Bond. It offers a great deal of action and excitement especially due to the crucial gaming with the enemy. It draws on a great amount of suspense as if Bond loses this game his life will be at great risk and if he wins, he will receive a massive amount of money. This movie like many others in the series of Bond movies has gotten great reviews.
Ocean’s Eleven (2001)
With a great cast and a few sequels, this blockbuster is hard to miss when speaking of great gambling movies. It is practically almost only set inside a casino and naturally, a lot of the movie revolves around gambling. It is one of the ultimate casino movies as it has a lot of class and an impressive cast. It is a remake of the original movie from the ’60s, but the one from 2001 offers a great deal of great and famous actors with for example George Clooney and Brad Pitt on the list.
Molly’s Game
A gambling movie about the real-life story of the woman athlete and gambler Molly Bloom. After an injury, causing her to put a stop to her career as an Olympic skier, she ends up working in Los Angeles as a waitress and gets into the world of gambling. Even though she has not played before, she quickly becomes a great gambler, and it leads to her creating an underground poker empire for athletes such as herself and other rich celebrities. Because of her role in this operation, she becomes a target of an FBI investigation. And you can probably imagine how it creates suspense.
