“Our Opening Night at the Astor Theatre was incredibly special as creatives and other passionate film lovers came together to celebrate Australian film in person,” said City of Port Phillip Mayor Louise Crawford of the packed out Opening Night. “All the films screened, from intricate animations to sci-fi and horror, were well-received and provoked many lively discussions. We’re looking forward to the Closing Night being just as successful when we gather to applaud the successful nominees at another fantastic St Kilda venue.”
That venue is the Alex Theatre, where the following films are in the running for various awards, including Best Short Film and Best Documentary, which will also be eligible for consideration in the OSCARS® Short Film and OSCARS® Documentary Shorts Award categories.
