Launched in time for Halloween, the short has quickly amassed 15,000+ views and counting.
“This was my first attempt at releasing a film directly to YouTube, skipping the festival circuit, so I wasn’t sure what to expect,” says Fairhurst. “A post on image-hosting site Imgur went viral and we suddenly saw 3,000 views in the space of an hour. It seems YouTube has taken notice and are suggesting it to other horror fans, so we’ve seen an uptick in native views since.”
