From tomorrow, October 31, Cronulla hosts the Australian Music Week Film Festival, kicking off with Take Me to the River at Event Cinemas Cronulla, a documentary about the legacy of the Memphis music scene narrated by Terrence Howard.
The rest of the program, part of the Australian Music Week conference, is screening at GU Film House Cronulla, and includes the Steve Kilbey documentary Something Quite Peculiar; Play Your Gender, a look at the gender divide in the music industry; and a special 30th anniversary screening of the classic rock doco Australian Made.
Parallel to the documentary feature stream is a music video and short film program, plus appearances from special guest for Q&A’s screening introductions and more. The full program is as follows:
