It’s a bit like when The Avengers came together to fight Loki. Or Ultron. But not each other – that doesn’t fit our metaphor. Writer and director, Joss Whedon, got a staggering number of his actor pals (but notably not Adam Baldwin, hey?) to appear in a video for his Save the Day organisation in order to exhort American citizens to a) remember to vote and b) for the love of God, don’t vote for Trump.

And we mean a staggering number. Check out the roster: Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Neil Patrick Harris, James Franco, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillion, Matt McGorry, Yvette Nicole Brown, Leslie Odom Jr., Jesse Williams, Keegan-Michael Key, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Bradley Whitford and more. If nothing else, Ruffalo seems like a good sport.

Whedon actually returned to Twitter to promote the initiative:

Save the Day describes itself thusly:

“We are a short-form production company dedicated to the idea that voting is a necessary and heroic act. That every voice in this wonderfully diverse nation should, and must, be heard. That the only thing that can save democracy is the act that defines it. We are committed to fighting the apathy, cynicism, and honest confusion that keeps citizens from using their vote. And to reminding an increasingly out-of-touch and compromised set of representatives that they are answerable to the people they were hired to serve.”
