After its successful Tour festival celebrating 35 years in January Flickerfest hit the road and has been rolling out the red carpet to venues all across the country. They are celebrating bold brilliant films including festival favourites, award winners and locally connected shorts on tour until September.
This May brings a bumper crop of touring venues with 7 venues from east to west sharing the short film love

8–9 May, Alice Springs – Best of Australian Shorts & Short Laughs Comedy
9 May, Adelaide – Best of Australian Shorts is highlighting 5 SA connected films
14 May, Canberra – Best of Australian Shorts, including Canberra’s own ‘Songbird’ & ‘Nothing and the Sun’ [pictured]
15–16 May, Huskisson – Best of International & Best of Australian Shorts including the relatable family dramedy Alfredo directed & produced by Illawarra filmmaker Michael Chrisoulakis, There’ll be a Q&A with Michael after the screening.
15-16 May, Narrogin – Including the award winning Yoram Gross Best Animation film ‘Trading Cards’, there will be a Q&A after the screening with the film’s producer & narrator Jay Jay Jegathesan
17 May, Toowoomba – Best of International & Best of Australian Shorts, highlights include the intimate docudrama ‘Return of the Champ,’ which follows Damien and his world famous racing car driver brother Will Power.
17 May, Wollondilly – Best of Australian Shorts
