The 27th edition of the Antipodes Film Festival in St Tropez, France concluded with two awards: The Audience Award went to crime drama Don’t Tell upon its French premiere, directed by Tori Garrett and starring Jack Thompson, Aden Young and Sara West.

The Nicolas Baudin Award for Best Short Film went to Unspoken by Damian Walshe-Howling, which had also picked up an award at Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival earlier this year.

The festival opened with He Ain’t Heavy, directed by David Vincent Smith in the presence of actor Greta Scacchi and festival patron, French actor and surfing champion Arnaud Binard, (Emily in Paris, Lucky Luke).

Festival director Bernard Bories said: “The festival has been a huge success with the public, professionals, and more than 630 secondary school students, who came to discover new films from Australia and New Zealand.”
