The annual Casting Guild of Australia (CGA) Awards Ceremony will this year be celebrated in Melbourne, at the Arts Centre on Friday 21 November 2025. Nominees for the awards are set to be announced late-October.

Launched in 2015, the CGA Awards is the only casting awards ceremony in the southern hemisphere that celebrates and recognises casting across all mediums including film, television, television commercials, theatre, new media and reality. The annual Awards Ceremony seeks to acknowledge and support the critical role casting directors play in bringing together great casting opportunities both on a national and international stage.

CGA President Thea McLeod said “The CGA Awards are such a special night for our industry, a beautiful celebration of the creativity, passion, and dedication of casting directors right across Australia. It’s our chance to recognise the incredible work that goes into casting and the vital role it plays in bringing stories to life. We’re especially excited to honour the CGA Rising Stars of 2025 at this year’s awards and to come together in Melbourne to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our members. A huge thank you to our amazing supporters for making this incredible night possible.”
