Based on a short film made for Tropfest, which went viral, despite, mysteriously, winning no awards, the feature version Cargo premiered last year at the Adelaide Film Festival to positive reviews and looks set to wow audiences when it hits local cinemas in May.

Picked up by streaming giant Netflix during post-production, Australia will be the sole territory in the world where the film will play a season on the big screen, and will be available to stream locally six months later.

The film will make its US debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, and will screen at the Gold Coast Film Festival ahead of its theatrical release.

Cargo co-stars Susie Porter, David Gulpilil, Anthony Hayes, Caren Pictorius, Kris McQuade, Natasha Wanganeen, Bruce R. Carter, and marks a stunning debut by Simone Landers.
