Shut the front door! According to Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, we are getting another Hellboy movie – but director Guillermo Del Toro, who helmed the first two, is not involved – or at the very least, he isn’t directing.

Here’s Mignola’s Facebook post of a few minutes ago:

Hellboy

Holy crap! Look, pinch of salt – this is not a formal press release – but that’s an impressive pedigree. Neil Marshall hasn’t made a feature since 2010’s pretty great Centurion, and David Harbour is a talent. Yes, it sucks that Ron Perlman isn’t slapping on the red paint again, but if they’re gonna change it up, Harbour’s a pretty solid choice. As for that R rating (Australian MA15+), well, if that’s important to you (it shouldn’t be), that’s something to be happy about.

We’re sure the provenance of this proclamation will be confirmed or denied in no time, so you’ve only got a limited window in which to indulge in baseless speculation. Have at it!

Update: The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
