IMDb are teaming up with Twitter and Twitch to bring you the 89th Oscars in all their social media glory with the IMDb Live Viewing Party, Presented by OREO Chocolate Candy Bar.
That’s certainly one of the clunkiest titles since naming rights became a big thing, and, frankly, we’re not even sure if Oreo bars are readily available in this country, but the concept is still pretty cool: a five-hour broadcast hosted by IMDb Special Correspondent Dave Karger and Rachel Smith of Amazon’s Style Code Live from an invitation-only industry viewing party, streamed live on IMDb.com, Twitter and Twitch.
Expect celebrity guests, winner announcements, freewheeling commentary, and all that sort of thing. It all kicks off at 12 Noon AEDT on Monday 27th February. Even if you don’t have a Twitter account, you can check it out at the special IMDb Viewing Party account here.
